Tempo sport: the best address for your wetsuit purchase
We offer you more than 20 different models from leading manufacturers in a total of over 100 size variations in Horgen. In Erlinsbach you will find all models of Sailfish.
Here are some reasons why you are contacting us for the wetsuit purchase:
Not every human being born is exactly the same. So it is logical that not every wetsuit fits perfectly for everyone. Each manufacturer gives his suits a different cut, especially the collar cut is sometimes very different. Each manufacturer also has its own specialties. In short: Only if you can choose from several manufacturers, you are sure that you will find the right product for you. By the way, we offer wetsuits in all price ranges! With us you will find wetsuits for triathlon and gigathlon, but also warm suits for training as well as a large selection of SwimRun suits.
We can say this with a clear conscience: in Switzerland, there is no other specialist shop with such deep know-how for swimming wetsuits. We have been working in this area for over 15 years, conducting many test swimmings every year, advising countless customers on their wetsuit purchase. And above all: We also swim the suits ourselves and know the advantages and disadvantages of all models! Thanks to a lively exchange with our team athletes and the manufacturers, we can also influence the development of the products again and again. The most important tips and tricks about the Neo can be found here.
With us you can try a wetsuit not only in the wardrobe but also in the water. Either you get advice in our shop and then test 1-2 models in the nearby Lake Zurich (within walking distance) or in an indoor pool. Or you can take part in one of our test swims.
Each Neo can have a small or large damage. Small cracks, torn seams, etc. No problem: We repair minor damages in the shop by ourselves, for major repairs we work together with a tailor specialized in wetsuits, who can really repair almost everything.
We offer probably the largest range of accessories in the field of open water (and pool swimming…): from neoprene bathing cap to tracksuits, countless triathlon/open water swimming goggles, rescue systems/buoys to neoprene gloves/socks and much more. Advice included.
Neoprene: the second skin for competition and training
Thermal protection is the first target of swimming wetsuits. The additional buoyancy, which makes swimming easier, is a nice side effect that many have learned to appreciate. A great deal has happened in the development of wetsuits in recent years. Today’s modern suits are in no way comparable to the old models, which were often “slimmed down” surf suits. Modern swimming neos are enormously flexible, especially at the shoulder area. In addition, more and more additional “aids” such as special panels for more grip on the forearm or support in the hip area for a more efficient swimming movement are built in. And the development continues. Every year, improved versions or new models come on to the market. We are here for you and make sure that our assortment is always up-to-date.
With us you will find various models from two top-class suppliers:
- Sailfish wetsuits, the neoprene with the incredibly flexible material
- Zoot: Born in Hawaii. Innovative Neos for all levels
Why exactly these manufacturers?
There are countless manufacturers on the market. And more and more are coming. We are convinced from our own experience that these brands cover the entire spectrum of modern neos. You don’t need more to swim fast.
Sailfish wetsuits: The number 1 on the market
The brand sailfish* was founded in 2007 by Jan Sibbersen, former national team swimmer and fastest swimmer in triathlon. Sailfish stands for triathlon and open water swimming products of the premium class. The award-winning wetsuits, which are known for their high flexibility, balanced buoyancy and outstanding gliding properties in the water, form the core of the collection. The guiding principle of sailfish is “made to make you faster”.
*The Sailfish – 2.5 – 3 metres long and the fastest fish in the world at speeds of up to 111 km/h.
Phelps: price/performance winner
Having grown up as Aqua Sphere, the innovative Neos are now on the market under the Phelps brand. The suits have not undergone any fundamental changes compared with the previous year. The tried and tested models impress with their good price/performance ratio. The very flexible suits have a slightly narrower cut than other manufactureres and fit like a glove – assuming the appropriate body proportions. And they are definitely fast: The best time ever swum at an Ironman (40.33) was achieved in one of these suits.
Zoot: Born in Hawaii
The American manufacturer has also become a big name in the triathlon scene in Europe since its collaboration with Olympic medalist Javier Gomez (ESP) and other top athletes. The wetsuit of the latest generation is flexible, has a well-balanced buoyancy behaviour and convinces also in details. Zoot offers competitive suits for all levels and budgets. That’s why we carry the brand, which was founded in 1983 in Kona, Hawaii, and is dedicated to triathlon. Due to the coronavirus situation, we are unfortunately unable to guarantee delivery for Zoot until further notice.
